Returns Policy
PRODUCT SATISFACTION POLICY
Makro is your business partner every day and hopes you will be happy with products you purchase from Makro.
As Makro is your business to business cash and carry wholesaler, Makro makes the promises set out in this policy which are part of Makro’s contract with you. In order to bring you better value, Makro excludes (as far as permitted by law) any implied warranty, condition or other term as to quality and fitness for purpose.
Non Food Goods in Resaleable Condition:
Makro will be pleased to give you a voucher refund for any non food product returned in fully resaleable condition (this includes the original packaging, seals and shrink wrap intact, together with any accessories sold with it) within 28 days of the date of purchase together with your Makro receipt for the products.
Customer Helplines:
Before calling Makro, check the instruction manual, packaging and guarantee documents with the goods for the manufacturer’s customer helpline telephone number. The Makro helpline number is 0845 610 4159
Faulty Workmanship:
If a product you purchase from Makro goes wrong due to faulty workmanship and you contact the Makro helpline within 12 months of purchase Makro aims to have the product repaired free of charge and at the minimum of
inconvenience to you. Faulty products must be accompanied by proof of purchase and all original components, manuals and packaging (where possible). All petrol products must have the fuel tanks emptied.
When you contact the Makro helpline Makro will arrange for a qualified engineer to visit your premises to repair the product if economically appropriate. It may be that a repair is not appropriate in which case Makro will
discuss an alternative solution with you.
Makro is not responsible for reasonable wear and tear or where goods have been altered or repaired without Makro’s approval. If the problem is not due to workmanship, then you agree to be responsible for the reasonable
costs of testing the product on collection from Makro.
Waste Commercial Electrical Products:
Purchasers of electrical and electronic equipment for use in the course of business (the “Product”) shall maintain suitable systems to ensure and be responsible for the cost of collection, treatment, recovery and environmentally sound disposal of the Product and any product the Product is intended to replace in accordance with the WEEE Regulations 2006. By purchasing the Product, any such purchaser agrees to these conditions and agrees to
indemnify Makro against any liability it may incur as a result of a breach of this policy.
Privacy Policy
MAKRO is responsible for the processing of any personal information you provide through this site and in any subsequent dealings with us, and its processing is registered in the United Kingdom under the Data Protection Act 1998.
We take the privacy of all our customers and website users seriously. This Privacy Policy outlines how your personal information will be treated.

MAKRO will collect, process, and/or use the information provided by you (”Personal Data”) for the purposes of administering and performing the customer contract with MAKRO, general and long-term customer care and personalised customer service, as well as sales promotion, market and opinion research activities (by mail and electronic communications).
As MAKRO is part of the METRO-Group, a large group of companies operating internationally, Personal Data may be transferred to and back from one of the International Data Centres of the METRO-Group (operated by the METRO-Group Information Technology GmbH (MGI), “Data Centres”) and may be processed in the Data Centres to achieve the purposes identified above. MAKRO and the Data Centres operate in compliance with European data protection rules to provide for a coherent level of adequate data protection even in those cases where data are transferred to countries with a different level of data protection.
Access to Personal Data will be limited to authorised employees as required for the purposes identified above as well as IT security and maintenance. MAKRO uses reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the security and confidentiality of Personal Data and regularly reviews and improves these measures as necessary to reflect legal developments and/or improvements in available technology.

Your access to the Makro Internet Site may be occasionally restricted to allow for repairs, maintenance or the introduction of new facilities or services. MAKRO will attempt to restore the service as soon as it reasonably can.

We will not be responsible for any error or inaccuracy in advertising or promotional material.

Applicable Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and any disputes will be decided only by the English courts.
International Use

MAKRO makes no promise that materials on the MAKRO Internet Site are appropriate or available for use in locations outside the United Kingdom, and accessing the MAKRO Internet Site from territories where its contents are illegal or unlawful is prohibited.
