Product Recall: H-Line GOLD ‘Soft as Down’ Synthetic Pillows & Duvets; H-Line SILVER ‘Anti Allergy’ Synthetic Pillows & Duvets and H-Line BRONZE ‘Hollowfibre’ Synthetic Pillows & Duvets
Following testing, Makro Cash & Carry has identified some quality concerns with a small number of products under the H-Line bedding range.
Safety is a business priority at Makro and although we have received no complaints relating to these products, the results from our tests indicate that the fibres in the pillows of the H-Line GOLD ‘Soft as Down’, SILVER ‘Anti-Allergy’ Synthetic and BRONZE ‘Hollowfibre’ bedding range fall short of the FURNITURE AND FURNISHINGS (FIRE) (SAFETY) REGULATIONS 1988 - AMENDED 1989, 1993 AND 2010 SCHEDULE 2 PART 1 (BASED ON BS 5852 PART 2). For this reason and in the interest of customer safety Makro UK has decided as a precautionary measure to withdraw the ENTIRE RANGE of H-Line GOLD ‘Soft as Down’, SILVER ‘Anti-Allergy’ and BRONZE ‘Hollowfibre’ Synthetic pillows and duvets from sale with immediate effect and to recall them from our customers.

All products have been removed from stores and, supported by the company’s comprehensive customer database, Makro has been able to identify all those customers that purchased these products. All have been notified and offered full reimbursement.
In the interests of safety, quality and customer satisfaction Makro is recalling all of these products.
Makro is working closely with the supplier C & C Bed & Bath, Rochdale to identify the cause of this product quality issue.
