Instore Returns Policy
Makro is a business to business cash and carry wholesaler. Please note that when you purchase goods from Makro,Makro excludes (as far as permitted by law) any implied warranty, condition or other term as to quality and fitness for purpose. Instead, Makro gives you the following guarantees which apply in addition to Makro's terms and conditions
Makro's 28 Day No Quibble Guarantee:
Makro will give you a cash or credit refund for all unused products returned in the condition in which they were purchased (including all packaging, instruction manuals, remote controls etc) within 28 days of the date of purchase together with your Makro receipt for the products.
For hygiene and safety reasons, Makro regrets that it will not accept returns of food (except for Makro Quality brand),beverages, cosmetics, underwear (with the exception of bras which must be returned in original packaging including all labels), fireworks, cigarettes and earrings unless the products are defective. CDs, DVDs, videos, books and software will only be exchanged for the same title and must be accompanied by your original Makro receipt. Makro will not accept returns of products containing petrol. All petrol must have been removed from petrol fuelled products before they will be accepted by Makro.
Makro Quality Brand:
If for any reason you should be dissatisfied with a Makro Quality brand product, please return the product with proof of purchase to a Makro store and Makro will give you a full refund or a replacement product without question.
Makro's 12 Month Faulty Goods Guarantee:
If the product goes wrong within 12 months of purchase due to a fault in workmanship Makro aims to repair the product or exchange it if repair is not possible. Faulty products must be brought to Makro's attention within 12 months of the date of purchase. All goods returned must be accompanied by proof of purchase and all original components, manuals and packaging (where possible). Makro reserves the right to inspect goods (or send goods to be tested within a reasonable time) to determine whether the problem is caused by accident, misuse or workmanship. The guarantee does not apply to reasonable wear and tear or where goods have been altered or repaired without Makro's approval.
Where a fault is identified, Makro will arrange for the product to be repaired if economically viable. If Makro decides that a repair is not possible, Makro will exchange the product for a product of the same or similar specification. If Makro decides that a repair or exchange is not possible Makro may offer a refund of the purchase price.
The Makro 12 month faulty goods guarantee does not apply to certain products where, for improved customer service, Makro has worked with top electrical and swimming pool brands to provide manufacturers' customer helplines. On helpline brands do not contact or return the product to Makro as the manufacturer has agreed to be responsible for the repair of any faulty goods and will be able to assist you when you contact the appropriate manufacturer's customer helpline.
Waste Commercial Electrical Products:
Purchasers of electrical and electronic equipment for use in the course of business (the “Product”) shall maintain suitable systems to ensure and be responsible for the cost of collection, treatment, recovery and environmentally sound disposal of the Product and any product the Product is intended to replace in accordance with the WEEE Regulations 2006. By purchasing the Product, any such purchaser agrees to these conditions and agrees to indemnify Makro against liability it may incur as a result of a breach of this policy.
